EXCUSE ME....

.... called by the Lagoon and could hear the Bell Miners call. Have not caught up with these for awhile so went "hunting" - rarely seen (or in fact heard around here) but you cannot mistake their loud call ( if you have not heard them check here ). I am thinking they may well have found their way around here due the fires just up the Mountains.

The large Gum tree in the reserve was obviously where they were, and sure enough after waiting a bit, down came this one to check out bugs in the bark. The reality is they in fact can cause the gum to die, due their diet being part of the gum trees ecology. 

Also found a Pacific Black Duck looking at its reflection here, and a Sparrow playing "peepo" here.
