Just A Sack Of Flour
California Girl has been going through some materials which came from her mother’ home when she discovered this flour sack.
It was produced as part of the
The Marshall Plan which was a programme of aid from the United States of America to Europe after the conclusion of World War 2.
This particular sack is for France and it is possible that it actually made the crossing to France.
How it returned to California and to end up in a materials box is something of a mystery. Interestingly it has had two repairs made to rips in the material indicating subsequent reuse.
The next decision to be made is how to use this material in the future.
Something of a recycling tale indeed.
