Busy day

I try to tell him as much as I can- how much I love him, how helpful he is, how funny & kind..& how much I enjoy spending time with him.
I read an article saying that children recognise your joy at being with them as the main component in feeling loved. It makes sense. He can’t understand all the boring self sacrifice as evidence of my utter adoration.
He’s been a star today so it wasn’t hard. Another day - another story!
