The kindness of blippers
Blipper Poppy posted a photograph of some of her hand knitted Shetland wool hats recently. My Christmas present last year was a pair of Poppy's lovely gloves, which have served me so well, so when I saw the hats I got in touch with her. Yesterday my hat arrived. As blipped. I hope I've done a good job of showing just how nice this hat is. And it really fits too (hats often don't fit me) I'm just delighted so thank you Poppy.
Yesterday another blipper contacted me by email. She'd read my moans about insomnia and got in touch to share some solutions she's discovered. More kindness from the world of blip.
I had a good sleep last night too!
Today I should have been meeting a former colleague and friend for coffee. But she lives on the Isle of Bute and decided against making the trip in case she couldn't get home. I don't blame her at all though of course it is disappointing. For the same weather-related travel disruption reasons I've declined the kind offer of a lunchtime bowl of soup with the four year old and baby sister's family. I wouldn't drive anyway and the trains are mucked up.
I have a lot to do in the house so it's good to have made the decision to stay put. The sun is actually shining just now. But we are in for more rain, sleet, hail or snow. I had all of those when I took Flora out this morning. Extra - on our walk. The rugby's off.
