Between the heavy showers . . .

there was enough time to send Mrs M out to do some work in the garden.  The BBC forecast said it would brighten up this afternoon so we went down to Arnside for a run.  But the weather was dreadful with wind, rain, hail and sleet so we came home.  Back home I noticed the BBC forecast had been revised at 2pm to indicate wind, rain, hail and sleet.  

We did get out locally for a dry hour at 4 o clock.
