Stating the Obvious
Over to Berwick today. TM said the weather was going to be better over that way .... and maybe it was. There were several spells of sunshine and blue skies (first extra), but also snow showers, hail, and gale-force winds. I almost got blown over coming through the ancient doorway in the wall down by the old harbour (second extra).
We dodged from gallery (Wilhelmina Barnes Graham, abstract, glaciers, Lanzarote and Orkney, lovely), to cafe (Mule On Rouge, spicy lentil soup and Bob Marley), the Green Shop (bamboo tights, new notebook, some soap, green peppercorns) and Morrisons (newspaper and various groceries) then headed home. The fields round the rivers are still flooded.
Not sure why this sign is painted on the wall of a cottage near the Sally Port. But I thought it was worth a blip.
