The road to Malham
My week off starts here!
After a slight, but well deserved lie-in, we packed up the mini for the 4.5 hour drive to Malham, North Yorkshire for our very family friendly weekend with the Kenilworth Crew (my silent nickname for them!) - Rob's friends from school.
The drive was almost uneventful until some idiot on the motorway decided he wanted to cut us up. The backend of his car was about inch from our bonnet - Rob was absolutely fuming and I was terrified. Some idiot's strop could endanger the life of my whole family in one stupid move; it's absolutely crazy.
Once we got off the motorway the scenery was straight out of Postman Pat. We drove up hill and down dales until Tom Tom said we were almost at our destination. By this point it was pitch black and the road had turned into a stone and dirt path. We were looking for a large house at the top of a road, so drove past the actual house twice. Finally the headlights shone on the 'Prior Hall' sign and we realised that out of 14 of us, we were the first to arrive.
