Brixen im Thale
I managed 4 hours sleep, but there was no way I could moan as Rory Chris and Theo had all had 1.5hours.
6am coach to Brixen im Thale, Austria. We were all grateful for the Fasching school holiday traffic allowing us extra sleeping time on the bus. A lady with a microphone gave us far too much information about the journey.
The weather was fantastic!! I have a decent ski tan and was wearing just a t-Shirt at lunch time.
The snow was decent and we drew wavy lines down the slopes. At times my field of vision was just my friends swerving across the white plains with great snowcapped mountains in the backdrop. So amazing!
Jimena’s backpack was too big for the narrow seat and she fell off the lift at one point! It wasn’t very high but I was pulling her back up and they stopped the lift so she could crash land.
Lugging the skis back home, we found the Italians partying for Carnival (Fasching). There‘s no sleep for the wicked. Rory, Chris, Theo and I hid from the party for a bit, crumpled in one of the bedrooms that isn’t adjacent to the party zone. Eventually at 12 I had to creep through the party zone in my Pyjamas, but was spotted by several friends who then started taking selfies of us, and saying we had to drink this red wine because it comes from their region. Oh, in that case...
