North Inch otter

This is the closest I have ever been to an otter!

Walking along the North Inch I saw a man with his daughter on his shoulders, standing beside a small creek that cuts into the golf course. It's only a few metres wide, and right in front of them was a small otter. It was unbothered by them, and that encouraged me to walk up too. I watched it diving for five minutes and by that time a small crowd had gathered behind me.

Eventually it dived beneath a small bridge that crosses the creek and never reappeared. I guess it must have swum the length of the creek into the Tay, which is running fast and high at the moment.

If you have never looked into an otter's mouth, see my extra!
