Leftovers.
We had good friends in for lunch today which I prepared and cooked. Planning a while ago for a cold Winter's day, the main course beef stew and savoury dumplings followed by brioche bread and butter pudding and or apple and summer fruit crumble. To finish cheese, biscuits then coffee. All washed down with a good Spanish red. So comfort food on a cold day? No. With temperatures at dawn 11C rising to 14C cold it was not.
