The wood shed

It's fortunate that we live in Scotland otherwise we might have been looking at another, expensive, source of heat next year with the new law being introduced in England.

Our wood is not kiln-dried but seasoned for at least four years and the photograph shows only one of several wood sheds that we have. We depend on this for heating our water and central heating as it is fuel for our log boiler as well as the log burning stove.

Today has been a calmer day. The strong winds that we have been experiencing, for what has seemed like weeks, having left us for the moment and the snow that was forecast has not appeared, yet.
