Ahvenisto

After the hospital visit this morning we took a walk in the adjacent forest park and lake at Ahvenisto. At one end is the motor race track and at the other end the old 1952 Olympic Games facility. This is the swimming pool which after falling into disrepair was revamped last year and has proved very popular ever since. Naturally, being outdoor it is not in use during the winter. See the frozen lake for the reason why.
Hospital visit result: Surgery in about a month's time.
