Old Map

Today's the day ……………………….. for a bar supper

We were too tired to start cooking something for supper when we arrived home early this evening - and decided to try out one of the Kirkcudbright Pubs that we'd never been in so far.

It was good too - but the thing that amused us greatly were the old maps of the area that had been printed out and used as table mats.  This one shows the line of the old railway that went from Castle Douglas to Kirkcudbright - and lots of place-names that have become very familiar to us since we came to live here.

We'll have to do some research and find the actual map …………………...
