Future Perfect

Almost three months ago I pictured a magnificent bud of Rhododendron macabeanum.   Today, on a quick stroll round my friends Shropshire garden as the morning rain relented, I got to see it's promise delivered.   Lots of soggy gems in this special garden including some lovely hellebores (see extra pic) despite parts of the garden being under water.  The stream was raging but the level was lower than last week when the snowdrops (extra) were flooded.

Jamie and I benefited from the decision to get out of Wales yesterday, reports suggest it was much worse today and we had a nice quick run down to Southampton .... and on to London in my case.
