Jay is for January

Finally, a bit of sunshine! The car is still snowed in and I wasn't sure if our local bus was running, so I went down to the valley - upstream - the opposite direction to yesterday. Everything looked even more beautiful in the sunlight, but the hint of warmth started to bring down the snow, so at times it was like walking through a series of sparkly snow showers. Right at the far end, this jay made its presence known up in the tree.
