Ariel at the Bank of England
"This lovely golden lady is on top of a dome on the corner between Prince's Street and Lothbury over tivoli corner. It's known as Ariel after the Spirit of the Air in Shakespeare's 'TheTempest', is the symbol of the dynamic spirit of the Bank carrying credit and trust over the world. This statue is a work of Charles Wheeler in 1937."
