The Boss Ginger

The migraine has gone – yayayayayayay! There's nothing like the feeling of a head that feels normal. What a relief. It took a while, though, and it's only really just now that screens can be looked at. Scrolling is still out of the question, but that's getting better, too. Tomorrow should be business as usual. Thank goodness.

The wildlife was relieved, too, as I was able to fill all the feeders. I even put out some grapes that were grabbed by the squirrels and the speared by the blackbirds. The jays and magpies had a chatter about the monkey nuts and the coal tits attacked the fat bits and sunflower hearts. A whole charm of goldfinches came down for the latter, too. It was lovely to sit and watch them with my first coffee for four days.

The blip is of Bacon, who is the boss of Juno as he's the biggest ginger cat on the block. He's a bully who claws Juno on the back when Juno goes into the cat flap. Nevertheless, I like saying hello to him. This I do when Juno isn't looking.

I went for a long walk to get some fresh air and pick up some daffodils (three bunches for a pound – bonus). In the evening, I felt well enough to attend the West Norwood Feast volunteers' meeting, where I had my first tea in four days. So far, so good. It was nice to see friends. We had an excellent meeting with a lot agreed upon. I need to catch up on so many emails for Feast, but I can't think too much about that. A little at a time as I get back to head normal.

Talking of heads, overheard at the bar as I was ordering my tea:
"Have you ever touched a brain? It's insane!"

Hmm.
