We've got it at last!

This may not look like much but this is what we have been waiting for since September, when the detailed plans for our new house were submitted for Building Warrant approval

The process began way back in May 2010 when our daughter suggested that I could expedite looking for a plot of land by giving myself a SMART objective-to have bought a plot in 12 months.
Suffice to say that within 5 months we had purchased said bit of land.
This was the plan-retire summer 2012 by which time the new house would be ready to move into with my elderly mother(granny flat incorporated).
Well many many meetings with the architect later (not to mention 16 months of cancer treatment and a diagnosis of dementia (!) we are poised to break ground and it feels fab.
I think there will be many house build blips to come this year!
