A cold wind...

was blowing here, right into the face of the walker, so making it an uncomfortable journey. Upon the Plateau, just visible, friends who were skiing said, although the snow was in excellent condition, they were bitterly cold thanks to the icy blast! Sun shining most of the day.
It was well over my ankles but a little lower the Lapwings were in looking for nesting sites! Good to see them telling us it's Spring, so they are in as an  extra.
