Russians and their washing machines
Short of a blip today - what to take? Oh yes.. excellent. So Russians (mainly older ones) are super weird about their washing machines. Firstly, Russian versions are tiny because they are build for your average flat, so can only fit about 3 t-shirts and a sock. Secondly, they seem to believe they are really only for special occasions and that everything should be washed on the shortest possible setting. Here the owner hasn’t been able to resist highlighting that it should be used on the setting “mini 30” rather than any normal wash. This is despite the fact that electricity is incredibly cheap here and I pay for it anyway not them! Needless to say I have taken particular pleasure in using the 40 degree synthetic cycle and even washing towels at 60.
