Not the mighty Tweed

Two rivers run through Peebles. This the Eddleston Water, known locally as the Cuddy.

Interestingly at this point the rivers run in opposite directions. Just a little further along, the Cuddy makes a sharp turn to the left, and slips in to the bigger Tweed.
