Carnage in the garden

This lovely lab was waiting outside the shop when I went to collect my paper this morning.  His expression was so sad, I just had to go over to say hello.  The shop assistant popped out to give him a treat, but once he had eaten it, he adopted this sad expression again.

Today was the sunniest day we have had for ages so I decided to do a bit of gardening.  I think at least one pigeon had come to an untimely end as there were couple of areas of scattered feathers lying in the bottom of the garden.  More curiously there was quite a bit of frog’s spawn lying on the grass beside the pond.  So I picked it up and put it back in the water.
