Maison Rouge

The fact there is a Malmaison in Birmingham had escaped me until a day or two ago, when I was looking for a bed for tonight.

Very nice steak frites in the bar, but I was a bit bemused when I asked for a bottle of the Maison Rouge and the waiter said “You mean the house red?”

Either way, it does the job.
