BALI DAY 8

We did the long walk to breakfast after packing our cases again (we’re getting quite efficient at it now). Neither of us had a good night and we were woken by 5AM prayer call from the Mosque next to the hotel!
Our driver collected us at 9:30 for another long drive from the north west of the island to the east. #We left in sunshine drove through the most horrendous thunderstorm with more rain than even the Balinese had seen for a while....there were people washing their hair with shampoo!!! Children standing be the road to be splashed by the traffic....it was all quite amusing from the comfort of our car.
# Before the storm we stop at the Holy Hot Springs....a warm temperature due to the sulphur from the volcano!!!!!!! We had a lovely dip.
#We also stopped at the Water Palace built in 1900, destroyed in 1963 by an earthquake and rebuilt 30 years ago. You walk round it by stepping on stones in the pond. Luckily it was now only a light shower. There was only about 60
people there so we got some good photos but I should imagine it’s horribly packed in high season!!
We arrived at our hotel at 4 o’clock in sunshine # just in time for Yoga... and it’s paradise here such a beautiful hotel...the best so far...I’m going to have to hijack the Revs account to download some photos:))))).
