Oh what a beautiful morning

Was going to be foot, bus and train journey into Birmingham today for our monthly meeting. But at half six, just as I'm about to leave home I get a call to say the meetings cancelled due to the weather. We will have a conf call instead later today. I get a cuppa and feed pete, and then crank up the works laptop.

It's v cold this morning, and I put off walking pete until the sun started to show. The glorious pink sunrise with the blue sky back drop made for a stunning sky. Afraid I was missing out, quick change and then were off for a quick walk.

This was the most beautiful morning. Stunning sunshine as it rose, glorious blue sky, brilliant white snow, and feet freezing thru the hunters!

We were only out briefly as wanted to be home and back at the laptop by 9am. A perfect start to the day, days like this make you realise how bloody lucky we are to live where we do....the fields in the photo just 5 minutes from my house.

Got stopped on the way home a couple of times by mums and children on their way to school. Get stopped so much these days.

Home, coffee and then we continue. Lots of typing to do today, and then a 2 1/2 hour conf call at 11am.

More of the same in the afternoon and by five petes patience of being in all day are beginning to wear thin, so another walk in the dark then dinner.

Worked then til about half seven, long day but want to get organised before my hol on Friday.

Lazing now and giving pete some attention at last today.
