Canny Man's

Or the Volunteer's Rest. It's not a pub I like or frequent but it has a historic significance back to 1871 when the owner of the original inn told carters to "Ca canny man" (Don't Drink and Drive your horses!), and the Edinburgh Volunteers who came here after practising their shooting skills.

I snapped this one as old inn signs seem to be disappearing in Edinburgh.
