Play it again

In the gallery of modern art.

There was a story behind it. The piano has an auto play function if it is fed in a file to control it. The artist created a file to play a classical piece - so far so what, but here comes the ‘science’ part. They got someone technical to convert the file into a digital signal which they then ‘bounced off the moon’, with the file being corrupted in the process. And then they loaded it up into the piano to play it.

Presumably this is supposed to make you think about the nature of communication, how some meaning can be lost in transit. However it wasn’t working. At all.

Which made a very different statement altogether.
