A Ken Lochhead moment
I love Ken Lochhead's paintings - the ones with the single spot of red somewhere in a delicate landscape. I actually thought of them this morning as I waited for Mr B to appear in his red anorak up this snowy path above the Bishop's Glen behind Dunoon.
The brown hillside on the north side of the glen mouth is where the forest was destroyed by last January's gale and has since been forested. The trees have been there for as long as I can recall, and the glen is very changed by their going.
It was an exhilarating walk, with the snow squeaking under our boots ...
