FEMALE PHEASANT

Saw a new visitor to my garden today. It stayed for a while feeding on the bird seed I had put out and then it ran off into the allotments.

I originally thought it might be a grey partridge but have edited the title as a fellow blipper has identified it as a female pheasant.

More snow today. I'm so used to it now that its no big deal. Not at the moment anyway as I am fine staying indoors. However I hope it starts thawing soon as I may want to go somewhere in a day or two.

Not going to Asda tomorrow as my friend Jan, who takes me, phoned to say that she didn't want to use her big car in the snow as " its not very good in the snow". Apparently her little car is better in the snow but that is being repaired at the moment as it had a bump - someone slid into the back of it while Jan was waiting at traffic lights. So I'm going to get on now and do an online Asda shop.
