Cave adventure
It’s raining yet again... we had arranged a play date this afternoon and needed somewhere indoors. Neither of us mums could face soft play today.
So we went to Chislehurst Caves for an underground adventure. Around 15 000 people sheltered here in World War Two.
Before we got there L asked me, “Mummy, will we see a bear?” Most of the bears in L’s storybooks live in caves. She was glad to hear we wouldn’t meet any.
The children enjoyed their first cave... holding tightly to mummy, looking at the lanterns, walking on uneven ground and exploring the tunnels.
A fun couple of hours.
