Messy

My boys and me walk past this tree every time we go for a walk.  Eucalypt species can be majestic , beautiful, colourful, a haven for wildlife, but by glory they are superly messy.  Particularly at this time of year.  Oh, and they are prone to dropping branches for no apparent reason.

Our poor neighbour has one in their front garden, and they are forever cleaning up.  And - you can't plant under them.  Apparently they give off some sort of growth inhibitor.

So there you go - this species of Eucalypt belong in the bush.  By the by don't ask me what it is - it could be one of hundreds.  Most likely a Sugar Gum, or maybe even a River Red Gum; or even a Blue Gum which is endemic to the area.
