One Street - Westminster Ave #1

I have become intrigued by a project happening here called "One Street". The project was started by Kendall is Here who was inspired by a book called Blue Moon over Thurman Street. The idea is to tell the story of one street through your photos. Not every day, but occasionally over time.

I have chosen Westminster Ave SW. This is a long title for a rather short street in a small town. As I thought about it, though, I realized Westmisnter Ave is anchored on the ends by an old school building and a park. There are two churches on the six block stretch as well as many older houses. Should be some blips in that!

Today, in mid-January, Westminster Ave is cold and really quite ugly. Over time it is going to become green, busy with people walking, riding bikes, playing outside and doing yard work. In the fall it will become a tunnel of golden maple trees. I am looking forward to documenting what happens on Westminster Ave.
