Time made visible

Since I was quite young I've been fascinated with the way that a fall of snow makes time visible. Suddenly your footsteps leave a trace, you can see where people have walked or you can see the tracks of a dog or a rabbit. Normally these events would be ephemeral, invisible, lost in time. Now, briefly, they are revealed.
