Surprise!

Three weeks ago one of the Lavender Araucana hens didn't turn up at feeding time and wasn't seen again until this morning when she appeared in the paddock with ten chicks. Fortunately there was a vacant coop for them. Later in the day my lovely neighbour came to tell me she found another chick.  It's smaller and weaker than the others and probably couldn't keep up with them. I have it under the heat lamp for tonight.
