Grisdale Pike

We walked steeply up from Thornthwaite to Whinlatter Visitor Centre/Cafe through hailstorms and snowstorms( just over an hour ).

Only to find it was closed!

So we walked back down again through another hailstorm.

This is the view across to Grisdale Pike...2 minutes later it was a white out!

The rivers in Cockermouth dropped nicely while we were in York...so I don't think this weekend's storm will cause flooding.
