Wigeon #21
After a cold and wet morning the sun poked it’s head out around lunchtime so we went out straight away for some birdwatching.
We headed over to RSPB Marshside aware that many places would be very muddy and waterlogged. It wasn’t so bad there and the hide was a great place to shelter.
Some nice light along with the “fresh breeze” (which was WAY stronger than it sounds) accompanied the birds but many were quite a long way away as it was difficult to find land for them - I have never seen so much water there.
After a couple of hours we headed home to continue watching the Track Cycling World Championships that we have been enjoying this week. It’s been rather disappointing so far with just a couple of silver medals so far.we have a long way to go if we are to replicate our success at the Olympics in the summer......
