Mazie's Garden

This year both wool applique and embroidery were more popular (example above), but the quilts represented a wider than usual array of techniques and categories.  The tenacity and attention to detail that it takes to create these beautiful works of art is admirable.  My photos of the most intricately stitched quilts didn't come out well since it was crowded and I didn't have much time to set up my snaps.

As usual, it was a cold day and the snow was deep at Lake Farm Park.  We visited the cows indoors and saw the new calf, Ellie.  Cute!
