Chance Encounter...

I was picking my way (driving) slowly up to the tops this morning...potholes galore and a bit of snow and ice just ready to catch me out. Right at the top two birds flew across my windscreen. One landed on the post next to me...this one. So I stopped the car, grabbed the camera and took a few photos and also a video - here. I'm thinking it's a first winter male but I might be wrong. 

And, lovely to have a mostly sunny day without rain :)
