Iron Gates

The flood waters have receded and the spaniel and I were able to walk over the wet and muddy meadows along the river Ouse. The recently restored 18th century Iron Gates lock on the Sheffield Park estate is usually dry but the river levels are so high that the Ouse is still flowing through the old lock, as well as around the meander.
