puddle jumping

I had planned to run at another local event with a friend but the weather forecast on Friday evening looked poor and I didn't want to put my friend off forever so I sent her an 'easy out' text to say I was more than happy if she wanted to postpone as I was going anyway.  She did.

I switched my venue choice to one that I'd seen photo's from the week before and I knew would be wet and muddy.  I was not disappointed.

I felt so happy just driving there and as we stood in the beating rain before the start, my spirits were high.  My inner child just LOVED ploughing through the deep puddles.
