Springtime in the Languedoc

Choir again today. More innovation: our baritone soloist for the concerts, Antonio, is a vocal coach, so he came along and did a 45-minute session with each section of the choir. Interesting stuff on technique, much of which chimed with what Eusebio, our Spanish choir director, does. I also enjoyed listening to completely fluent French spoken with a charming Spanish accent. It’s so completely different from the past that it’s actually exciting, even though we are singing familiar music.
It was a beautiful sunny day; T and I went for a stroll outside the village after lunch, hence the rare vine blip. Yet within 15 minutes of starting work again there were massive rumbles of continuous thunder, flashes of lightning, and a hailstorm. Ten minutes later, it was gone, and the sun was shining again. Baffling.
Home, fire lit. Very grateful to V for his simple fix! The rest of the work can await our return.
