Granton Cottages

Because of the snow, His Lordship's pals weren't in the mood to come out to play today, so he departed to plough his own lonely furrow on the Pentlands, leaving me free to vacuum and clean without disturbing his peace, or have him falling over me when on my hands and knees washing the kitchen floor.
Aye, as they say, it's a great life if you don't weaken.

Despite having been chided for being 'mean spirited' in mentioning the inequality of a Lady's life in the Dower House, I was happy enough to get the chores over and head north over the city to Granton and a walk along the foreshore, discovering little squares and colourful houses hidden behind busy main roads.

This row of cottages on the shore, could be in a quiet seaside village any where.
