Icing on the cake

It’s been snowing off and on all day and I walked for quite a while around the village and the houses in Silver Star. The house are painted in many different colours, each one unique, and most very colourful.
They reminded me of decorated cakes with icing on top or maybe the colouring in books that I used as a child, and would choose bright colours for the houses.
Another example in the extra- some houses are very big, others quite small, but all colourful and quaint.
