Flutterby
My blip today was going to be what is now the extra. It was going to be headed “Not Covid-19” as this was a symbol to get vaccinated against the flu virus. I was at the GP practice seeing the practice nurse for a routine diabetes monitoring.
After shopping and lunch, I headed up to my late “aunt’s” to sort out the house clearance.
I (somehow) managed to fit a bookcase into the car and bring it back. We found in the bottom corner this butterfly. It was dozy and seemed content to sit on my hand for a while.
We managed to get it into the (heated) greenhouse where it began to flutter around. I hope it survives what is going to be a cold night. I can only assume that it has managed in an unseated garage.
It is the 2nd day of March after one of the wettest Februarys on record. Why are we seeing fully grown butterflies?
