The hen pheasants are back

... at least 6/7 of them but without being accompanied by their male escort. this is the first winter when there have been so few and the first winter without a male, though I did see one fly in the other day and then out quickly again (I'm guessing he's a youngster). It looks like the shooting brigade has been out about closer to our boundary or alternatively our pheasants have strayed too far from safety.

I've gone back to my Panasonic to day for this image with far more success than I've been having with my Cannon lens (and I forgot to set the IS to on).

I think she moved her head just as I took the shot!

Tai Chi this morning, a discussion on the phone about our next teacher professional development session and now I've moved onto getting ready for tonight and receiving entries for the YPU competition. I wonder how many will be put off by the weather tonight?
