Dad

Had he lived another 25 years my dad would have been 100 today. This is a painting I did of him when he and his blacksmith chum were celebrating with a wee dram having got the steam road roller they were renovating up and running.

I was in town today to meet Marion in Arlo which is usually very busy and noisy but she was laughing today, sporting hearing aids.

What strange coincidences occur. She was telling me about a presentation she’d been to about a South African artist, William Kentridge. And I saw his exhibition when we were in Cape Town in The Silo.
