Firemens' Memorial

A stunner of a day with bright sunshine and lovely warm temperatures.  A friend and I decided to enjoy it with a three-mile walk.  This moving memorial was along our route.  It is located on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue, and commemorates the tragic 1972 fire at the Hotel Vendome when five floors of the building suddenly collapsed, trapping and killing nine firemen.
