Andromonastiro

A monastery-castle built in the middle of Peloponese (southern Greece) hidden between high mountains and on the banks of a river. We had a very good guide who showed us how difficult life was in 17th and 18th centuries, how sparse the food and how war was an everyday reality for the monks.
