Today was supremely frustrating......

I made special effort to get going in the morning to make the three hour journey to Mum’s, so that I could be there for an appointment that was scheduled at home for the afternoon. The appointed hour came and went, so I made a phone call..... Apparently, the lady concerned had resigned some weeks ago without recording the appointment on the system! This news did not bring me joy - especially as I gave up the opportunity to celebrate a friend’s birthday tomorrow in order to be there! Grrr.......
