Losing the Thread

A new carpet was lain at the beginning of December last year.

It’s looking fine. Except it has a fault in one area - a three foot straight line which has not been tufted.

It’s been inspected, and this pack of woollen thread was posted to us early January. A chap was meant to come and “ retuft” the carpet in situ on three separate occasions (the latest date being tomorrow) and each time we have been contacted the day before because he is ill. Apparently it’s a really skilled job, there is no one else available, so we just have to wait.

Hope he stays well through March ......
